Dungeons and Dragons is a fantasy role-playing tabletop game ideally for 3-6 players.
All you need to play is a table large enough to accomodate the players and the Games Master.
A D&D adventure led by an experienced Dungeon Master makes for a fun and exciting birthday party activity for a small group of children.
Dungeon Master (DM) Edward Burgos has been hosting D&D parties for over 20 years
Over the course of an afternoon the children will select their characters and be guided through a story-telling adventure.
The group will need to work together to solve puzzles and battle monsters. Dice are used to decide the outcome.
DnD is fun for all ages. Adults are welcome to join the adventure.

Ed and the party organiser will arrange dates/timings etc
Ed will also have a chat about the child and their friends to help him best plan for their adventure. Ed is experienced working with children and young people with a wide range of backgrounds and needs.
The format of D&D makes it a perfect game for neuro-diverse children. Find out more here.
The birthday child can also be involved at this stage to have a chat with Ed and give suggestions on the kind of adventure they would like to experience.

On the day of the event Ed will arrive 45 minutes before the start of the adventure to set up the games table.
A typical afternoon's schedule would look like this:
12:30pm Ed arrives, sets up gaming table
1:15pm Party guests arrive
1:30pm Game begins
3pm Break and birthday cake
5.30pm Game over - party food for guests
6pm Ed packs up and leaves
4 hour session (rough timings)
15 min – Introduction and character selection
45min – Encounter 1 – Usually some mix of role playing and
exploration encounter where the players get have a feel for
the characters they are playing as well as interacting with the
world. Essentially getting a feel for what they can ‘do’.
10min – Break
50min – Encounter 2 – Combat is an integral part of D&D and
is what most of the rules are for, but it is also a lot of fun.
Once players have a feel for turns, dice rolling, and the
setting, fighting some cool monsters is next up.
15min – Break
80min – Encounter 3 – Like any good story we must have
hardship and trials. This may come in the form of puzzles in a
temple, more fighting against the evil wizard’s minions, or
the coming up with a plan to sneak into the mansion to steal
back the princess that was kidnapped. A combination of role-
playing, exploration, and combat.
10min – Break
90min – Final Battle – Every adventure needs a great climax.
This may well be a fight for the lives of the party, or the
adventurers may find another way to defeat the villain. Either
way the epic conclusion of a fantastic adventure.
Fantastic! Worth every penny. The least stressed I've ever been for a kids birthday. - Tanya 28.06.24
Q: What Dnd party favors would you recommend?
A: Blind packs of Polyhedral dice make for a great party favor for about £5. You can find some here
Q: Will my child be scared?
A: I will always make sure to tone down any scary parts or not have any at all depending on the group
Q: What kind of adventures will the kids go on?
A: One of the great things about DnD is that anything is possible. From classic fairytale style stories where you rescue the princess, to a last job for a group of adventurers who start out as criminals but become heroes by the end.
